How It Works
At Paint Palooza, we provide the MUSIC & FUN along with everything you need for our instructor led painting including a canvas, brushes, paint and aprons. Our instructor will help you paint the schedule picture for that session. (See our online Calendar for a schedule of paintings) However, if you would like to paint a different painting from the wall or our on-line gallery, you will receive limited assistance from the instructor and/or assistant. You can even paint your own design! At the end of the night, you take home your very own masterpiece, ready to hang on the wall!
Paint Palooza is a ‘Bring Your Own Snacks & Beverage of choice’ studio. What better way to spend your time than enjoying music, having FUN and a GREAT time with friends?! You leave your stress at the door and before you know it, you will become one of our Paint Palooza Phanatics! We provide plastic dinnerware, napkins, plates, and plastic wine glasses for your convenience. Paint Palooza wants you to feel at home when you join us for our instructor led painting session.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin, in order to get checked in, select your seating, get your aprons on, and ready for the session to begin on time!!
Registering / Reserving An Existing Session:
Generally, we will instruct Thursday through Sunday, between 1 to 3 sessions per day. Walk-ins are welcome (provided we have a seat available) however, we encourage our patrons to reserve and pay for their session via our online calendar by visiting www.paintpalooza.com/calendar to select your future masterpiece and to sign up for a full instructor led session. A class may be canceled if there are no registrations within 24 hours prior to session time. Visit our FAQs to view our 24 hour cancellation/reschedule policy.
A credit/debit card may be used to place a reservation online (or register for a class online) by selecting your session choice from our online calendar. If you prefer to pay by cash you may prepay in the store to reserve your seat for a specific session, call 210-481-6144 to arrange a time to prepay. If you reach a voicemail, we will return your call within 24 to 48 hours. You may email us at email@example.com with questions. Emails are usually returned within 72 hours.
Requesting A Session:
Please call us, 210-481-6144, at least 2 weeks in advance if you would like to schedule a private session at an available timeslot on the calendar. The price for a private session is $350 for up to 2 hrs, and $450 for up to 3 hr of painting fun. These prices include up to 10 painters. Additional costs per painter (over ten) will be based on the session chosen. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your timeslot. The balance must be paid upon check-in, before the session begins.
Please have your party arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to get checked in, aprons on, and find a seat, so we can begin on time. If anyone plans to arrive late, please arrange for a friend to catch you up. We will help when we can, but our focus is helping the class stay on track.

Palooza To Go Sessions:
We will bring the party to your door; Community Center, Party Room, Hotel/Office conference room, etc. Just have the chairs & tables ready. We will provide covers for them. You may want to have the business place Visqueen down to protect the flooring, from inadvertent spills. In home parties are not recommended, as we can not guarantee guests will not walk around dripping paint.
We require a guaranteed minimum of 15 painters for Palooza To Go painting sessions. Cost variables may be unique for each session, but includes all painting supplies. There is a set up fee of $125 for a 20 mile radius from the store, within the San Antonio area. Call for complete pricing estimate. Parties over 30 may require an additional set up fee. A non-refundable deposit, including set up fee and 50% of registered painters is required. The balance must be paid 2 weeks before the event.
Attire is very casual! Although we supply aprons, there may be an occasional spill or accidental bump. Acrylic paint rinses out of most clothes, if taken care of right away. Although, there shouldn’t be an issue, we do not want your nice clothes to be ruined because of a mishap. We stress casual clothes! If paint happens to get on your clothes, just rinse with cold water. Using Dawn dishwashing soap will also help to get the paint out of clothes. We have found that Kiss Off works pretty good on older paint stains, too. So far, we have found it locally at Michaels & Asel Art.
If you need a place to hold a party or business function, you may rent our studio for $1200. This will include the following:
- 5 hours (including any decorating, the event, and packing up)
- maximum occupancy load of 70 people
- music (via radio, cd player, mp3 player, or equivalent)
